WHAT IS LEED?
LEED (acronym of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), http://www.gbcitalia.org/web/guest/home developed in the United States by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), is an international certification system that assesses the environmental, social and economic sustainability of both commercial and residential buildings, considering their entire life-cycle from design to construction and also focusing on the safety of the materials used for their furnishings.
When furniture products such as fitted kitchens conform to the requirements of the LEED regulations, they are known as "LEED Compliant", meaning that they are manufactured with materials with low emissions of VOCS, or Volatile Organic Compounds.
These are compounds harmful to human health, such as benzene, styrene, acetaldehyde and formaldehyde.
Ernestomeda kitchens comply with the LEED prerequisite for indoor pollution (Commercial Interior - IEQ Credit 4.5 "Low-emitting materials - systems furniture and seating"), a guarantee for all those who design and build to eco-sustainable principles.
Under COSMOB Qualitas Premium Indoor Hi-Quality certification, the COSMOB international technology center has verified and certified that Ernestomeda kitchens comply with the standards required by the ANSI/BIFMA M7.1-2011 norm since all the VOC values measured are in COSMOB emission label class A++, the very highest standard in terms of low indoor pollutant emissions.
